The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has projected a 48% probability that global temperatures will surpass 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels in at least one year between 2022 and 2026, with this likelihood rising to 66% for the period 2023-2027. Additionally, it has warned that 2025 is expected to be among the three hottest years on record.
